Oil futures prices fell on Monday, amid indications of a possible de-escalation in the U.S. military campaign against Iran and continued oil supply flows.
Brent crude futures dropped to $114.61 per barrel, while U.S. crude futures fell by 2.3% to around $100.86 per barrel.
The decline comes amid signs of a potential de-escalation in the U.S. war on Iran, following statements by U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday, in which he said the United States would not launch an attack on Iran that night.
This also coincides with talks being held by “Mecca Alliance” countries in Tehran, as part of efforts to reduce regional tensions and support mediation between the United States and Iran.
