Customs: 192 pills of 'Larica' and 'Tramadol' seized inside dietary supplement boxes at T5

Inspectors from the General Administration of Customs at Kuwait International Airport’s Terminal 5 seized an individual in possession of 129 pills of Larica and Tramadol, substances listed in the psychotropic substances schedule. The individual had concealed the pills inside dietary supplement boxes in an attempt to smuggle them. Inspection measures led to the discovery of 93 Larica pills and 99 Tramadol pills, thanks to the diligence and vigilance of customs inspectors in uncovering attempts to conceal prohibited substances and circumvent customs control procedures.

A seizure report was prepared, and the individual and the confiscated items were referred to the General Administration for the Combating of Narcotics and Alcohol for the necessary legal actions. The General Administration of Customs reaffirmed its continued efforts to strengthen oversight at border crossings and counter attempts to smuggle narcotics and psychotropic substances, in order to safeguard national security and public safety.
