The Minister of Social Affairs, Labor, Social Development, Family, and Childhood, Dr. Amthal Hadi Al-Hawila, affirmed that compliance with the ministry’s decisions and circulars is not optional but a mandatory obligation for all boards of directors of cooperative societies, stressing that there will be no leniency toward violators.
Al-Hawila stressed the need to comply with decisions on the Kuwaitization of jobs and the placement of national cadres, as well as adherence to the labor regulations and systems approved by the Public Authority for Manpower. She also emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness standards within cooperative societies and central markets, and ensuring the quality, type, and safety of goods, thereby safeguarding consumers’ rights.
She confirmed that any board of directors found to be non-compliant with ministerial circulars, decisions, and applicable requirements will face firm measures, including dissolution of the board in accordance with the law.
She added that the ministry will continue its oversight and field monitoring activities to ensure the implementation of decisions, reiterating that the phase of warnings without enforcement has ended, and that accountability will be applied in reality, without exception or leniency.
