The General Directorate of Criminal Investigations apprehended a Turkish national in possession of 105 abortion pills intended for distribution and sale, as part of continuous security efforts to combat crime and apprehend perpetrators.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that the arrest followed intelligence reports indicating the suspect was distributing and selling abortion pills. He was apprehended in the Abu Fatira area, where seven pills were found on his person. A search of his residence in the Fintas area yielded an additional 98 pills.
The ministry added that during interrogation, the suspect confessed that he routinely entered the country monthly on a tourist visa, bringing 56 abortion pills from Turkey with each visit for distribution and sale within Kuwait, at a total value of 1,040 Kuwaiti dinars.
It confirmed that the suspect and the seized items have been referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal action against him.
