Yemen Interior Ministry: Houthi militia targeted two coast guard headquarters in Aden with three ballistic missiles

The Yemeni Ministry of Interior announced on Saturday that the Houthi militia targeted two Coast Guard headquarters in the interim capital of Aden with three ballistic missiles.

In a statement, the ministry clarified that the attack targeted the Coast Guard headquarters at the ministry’s diwan with two ballistic missiles, while a third missile struck the Coast Guard building in the Tawahi district.

It added that the assault is part of a series of attacks on civilian and critical infrastructure in Aden, including Aden International Airport, which has been targeted by ballistic missiles and drones on multiple occasions.

The ministry emphasized that these attacks aim to destabilize security and stability, terrorize citizens, and damage public institutions and critical facilities that provide services to the population.

It noted that competent authorities are continuing to take necessary measures, gather information and evidence to assess the damage caused by the attack, and implement appropriate steps to enhance security and stability, ensure the safety of citizens, and protect public facilities.
