The Al-Isleh Social Association organized a blood donation event under the slogan “Your Blood Donation… A National Duty,” sponsored by the association’s board chairman, Khaled Madoor Al-Madoor, and in cooperation with the blood bank, aiming to support patients’ needs and promote a culture of giving and social responsibility.
Abdulrahman Al-Shatti, the association’s Director of Public Relations and Media, said the event reflects the association’s conviction in the importance of health and awareness initiatives, alongside its humanitarian and relief role. He emphasized that blood donation is among the highest forms of giving, as it contributes to saving the lives of patients and the injured.
He added that each donor helps bolster the blood supply and meet hospitals’ needs for surgeries and emergency cases, noting the association’s commitment to translating values of solidarity and compassion into practical initiatives and encouraging community members to donate whenever they meet the necessary health requirements.
Al-Shatti clarified that collaboration among civil society organizations, health authorities, and volunteers helps broaden participation, raise awareness about the importance of blood donation, correct misconceptions, and encourage eligible individuals to make it a repeated voluntary behavior, not limited to crisis periods.
He affirmed that the association will continue to support national initiatives that have a tangible impact on people’s lives, calling on community members to engage with blood donation campaigns. He stressed that true giving is measured by its impact on others’ lives, and that blood donation is a humanitarian message that embodies compassion, solidarity, and national belonging.
