Saudi Civil Defense announced today the activation of an alert through the National Early Warning Platform for Emergency Situations in the provinces of Jeddah, Yanbu, and Taif, as well as the Makkah region, to warn of a potential hazard.
Via its official account on the “X” platform, Saudi Civil Defense urged the public to follow safety guidelines and official instructions, remain calm, and immediately seek shelter in the nearest safe location inside a building or an interior room away from windows, staying there until the danger has passed. It advised against leaving homes or buildings, avoiding open areas and glass, and refraining from standing on balconies or rooftops.
The agency also called for contacting the emergency number (998) upon observing any hazard, and adhering to directives issued by competent authorities through official channels.
