Saudi Arabia: Early warning issued in Riyadh to alert of danger

Saudi Civil Defense announced today the activation of an alert via the National Early Warning Platform for Emergency Situations in Riyadh to warn of a potential threat.

Through its official account on the social media platform X, Saudi Civil Defense urged the public to follow safety guidelines and official instructions, remain calm, and immediately seek shelter in the nearest safe location inside a building or an interior room away from windows, staying there until the danger has passed. It advised against leaving homes or buildings, avoiding open areas and glass, and refraining from standing on balconies or rooftops.

The agency also called for contacting the emergency number (998) upon observing any threat and adhering to instructions issued by relevant authorities through official channels.
