The 46th Educational Conference, organized by the Kuwait Teachers Association under the high patronage of His Highness the Amir, recommended updating the examination system and assessment methods, shifting from technology consumption to content creation, and phased expansion of giftedness and knowledge economy schools.

The conference, held under the theme “Innovative Insights for a Sustainable Educational Future in Kuwait” from October 4 to 6, included recommendations to restructure teacher preparation programs at faculties of education and approve a structured and responsible national framework for artificial intelligence.

Other recommendations included “institutionalizing a methodology” for leading impact in educational administration by adopting participatory formative assessment in training, enhancing the school’s role in instilling values and preserving blessings, and expanding community partnerships.

The recommendations also emphasized consolidating inclusive leadership, ensuring psychological safety, and providing institutional and technical support for technical guidance, as well as disseminating classroom innovations among teachers and developing the Teachers Association’s programs in accordance with international standards.

At a press conference marking the occasion, Hamad Al-Houli, President of the Kuwait Teachers Association, expressed “deep pride and honor” in the high patronage extended by His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to the conference.

Al-Houli stated that this gracious patronage carries a noble message affirming the status of education and teachers, and provides greater motivation to continue our efforts in serving the educational field and advancing our educational journey.

He extended “sincere thanks and appreciation” to the conference patron’s representative, Minister of Education Eng. Syed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei, for attending the conference and showing interest in and following up on the preparations and events, as well as to Jasem Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), for his participation and attendance.

He emphasized the commitment to bringing together educational field professionals with academic leaders, experts, and specialists in a space for dialogue and exchange of views and experiences, based on the belief that educational development is a shared responsibility and that teachers must be present and key partners in shaping their future.

He noted that the conference featured 26 scientific and educational events, including discussion sessions, lectures, and workshops, with the participation of a select group of academics, experts, and educational leaders from Kuwait, the GCC countries, and Arab nations.

“We were keen to evaluate the conference’s work and outcomes. The evaluation covered 17 scientific sessions and workshops, achieving an overall average score of 4.71 out of 5. These are results we are proud of, and we view them simultaneously as a responsibility that drives us to continue development and improvement,” he said.

Al-Houli affirmed that the association’s role does not end with the conclusion of the conference but extends to following up on its outcomes and enhancing communication and cooperation with the Ministry of Education and relevant authorities, thereby enabling the utilization of these efforts to develop our educational system.

For his part, Dr. Faiz Al-Zafiri, the conference’s general rapporteur and former Director and Secretary-General of Kuwait University, stated that the conference’s recommendations document, which is the most effective and impactful for the educational field, was issued based on a comprehensive analytical treatment of all scientific papers, discussion panels, and observations from session chairs.

Al-Zafiri added that the conference concluded by adopting the list of strategic recommendations as the most impactful and feasible for implementation.

He clarified that the recommendations addressed multi-dimensional academic challenges and called for immediate strategic workshops for leaders of the Ministry of Education.
