The General Directorate of Traffic, represented by the Security Control Department, apprehended a driver who committed reckless and dangerous driving offenses in the Jahra Stables area, after he hid his vehicle inside one of the stables.
In a statement, the “Traffic” authority said the apprehension followed a report received by the operations room regarding a driver engaging in reckless and dangerous behavior. Security Control Department patrols launched search and investigation operations and successfully located the vehicle inside one of the stables.
It added that coordination was carried out with the Public Authority for Youth and Sports, leading to the seizure of the vehicle and identification of its driver, who was later arrested.
The authority clarified that the driver confessed to the alleged offenses when confronted. He was referred to Central Prison, and the vehicle was impounded after confiscation, in accordance with Article 33 bis of the Traffic Law.
The General Directorate of Traffic warned against reckless and dangerous driving offenses, emphasizing that endangering the lives of others will be met with strict enforcement of the law, as monitoring and apprehension operations continue to hold accountable anyone who tampers with road safety and the security of its users.
