The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Monday that they carried out 1,164 targeting operations over the past 24 hours as part of the “Yemen Dawn” operation, resulting in the neutralization of 558 Houthi militia fighters and the destruction or damage of 135 military vehicles and equipment.
In a statement, Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, said the operations targeted Houthi militia concentrations, reinforcements, vehicles, fortifications, firing positions, and supply lines, using combat aircraft, drones, field artillery, rocket launchers, and snipers.
He clarified that assault units in Taiz province managed to capture new positions following an attack supported by intensive aerial and artillery strikes, while forces on the southern fronts and Shabwa fronts continued their offensive operations to pressure militia positions and prevent them from regrouping or sending new reinforcements.
He added that units stationed along the coast and the Bab al-Mandab Strait countered enemy movements and imposed fire control over their movement axes, targeting their assembly areas and firing positions.
Al-Nazili noted that the operations resulted in the neutralization of 558 Houthi militia fighters, including field commanders, and the destruction or damage of 135 military vehicles and equipment, emphasizing that operations would continue according to the operational plan to expand territorial gains.
He stressed that the targeting was limited to legitimate military objectives, after verification and taking necessary precautions to protect civilians and civilian property.
