Presidents of UAE and France Discuss Strengthening Strategic Partnership and Middle East Developments

- Reaffirmation of continued coordination on maritime navigation security, global energy supplies, and support for regional stability

The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, held talks today with French President Emmanuel Macron to strengthen the strategic relations between the two countries and expand cooperation prospects in economic, investment, energy, advanced technology, and artificial intelligence sectors, in line with their aspirations for sustainable development and prosperity.

The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that this came during a meeting between Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and the French President, who is paying an official visit to the UAE.

Both sides emphasized their commitment to further enhancing bilateral cooperation in key areas and advancing joint projects, particularly in the energy, advanced technology, and artificial intelligence sectors.

The talks addressed a number of regional and international issues, foremost among them developments in the Middle East and efforts to contain the repercussions on maritime navigation security and global energy supplies.

The two presidents stressed the importance of continued coordination and joint action to enhance security, stability, and peace in the region, in the interests of its countries and peoples.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed hosted a banquet in honor of the French President, who inscribed a message in the book of distinguished guests, expressing his pride in the development of UAE-French relations and wishing them continued prosperity.

Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Presidential Advisor Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamdan bin Thunayan Al Nahyan, and a number of UAE ministers and officials attended the meeting and the banquet.
