Kuwait and France Sign Agreements, Letters of Intent, and MoU in Presence of Crown Prince and Macron

- The cooperation covered defense, civil aviation, artificial intelligence, academic fields, investment, and health.

In the presence of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, French President Emmanuel Macron, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, and His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, agreements were signed today at Bayan Palace between Kuwait and France, as follows:

- A letter of intent on defense cooperation between the Kuwait Ministry of Defense and the French Ministry of Armed Forces and Veterans, signed on behalf of the Kuwaiti government by Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali, Minister of Defense, and on behalf of the French government by Catherine Vautrin, Minister of Armed Forces and Veterans.

- A declaration of intent between the Kuwaiti and French governments on cooperation in the field of civil aviation, signed on behalf of the Kuwaiti government by Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali, Minister of Defense, and on behalf of the French government by Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs.

- An exploratory cooperation declaration in the fields of data and artificial intelligence between the State Minister for Communications and Information Technology and the French company Bertin, signed on behalf of the Kuwaiti government by Omar Al-Omar, State Minister for Communications and Information Technology and Acting Minister of Media and Culture, and on behalf of Bertin by Mr. Charles-Henri Baud, Chief Executive Officer.

- A declaration of intent between the Kuwaiti and French governments to enhance cooperation for academic, scientific, and technical collaboration, signed on behalf of the Kuwaiti government by Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and on behalf of the French government by Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs.

- A declaration of intent between the Kuwaiti and French governments on cooperation in promoting direct investment, signed on behalf of the Kuwaiti government by Sheikh Dr. Meshal Al-Jaber, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority, and on behalf of the French government by Mr. Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs.

- A declaration of intent between the Public Authority for Investment in Kuwait and Airbus on strategic cooperation in the aviation sector, signed on behalf of the Kuwaiti government by Sheikh Saud Salem Abdulaziz Al-Sabah, Managing Director of the Public Authority for Investment, and on behalf of Airbus by Benoît de Saint Exupéry, Vice President of Sales for Commercial Aircraft at Airbus.

- A joint declaration of intent among the Kuwait Public Authority for Investment, the Kuwait Ministry of Health, and the Gustave Roussy Institute, signed on behalf of the Kuwaiti government by Sheikh Saud Salem Abdulaziz Al-Sabah, Managing Director of the Public Authority for Investment, and Sheikh Dr. Salman Khalifa Abdullah Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, and on behalf of the institute by President Fabrice Barlesi.

- A memorandum of understanding between the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences and Airbus for Africa and the Middle East, signed on behalf of Kuwait by Dr. Amira Farhan, Director General of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, and on behalf of Airbus by Gabriel Semelas, Managing Director of Airbus for Africa and the Middle East and Regional Head for Africa and the Middle East.
