Official talks between Kuwait and France were held at Bayan Palace this morning. His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, chaired the Kuwaiti side, while French President Emmanuel Macron chaired the French side. The meeting was attended by His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah; His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Salim Al-Sabah, Prime Minister; and a number of senior officials from both countries.

During the talks, the established bilateral relations linking the two countries and their friendly peoples were reviewed, with efforts directed toward supporting and strengthening these ties across various fields. The scope of cooperation between Kuwait and France was expanded into broader horizons, particularly in economic, trade, and investment sectors, and ways to enhance the partnership were discussed to serve their mutual interests. Additionally, the latest developments on the regional and international scenes were discussed, particularly regarding developments in the region, and views were exchanged on these matters.

For his part, Sheikh Hamad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Minister of the Diwan Amiri Affairs, stated that the talks were held within the framework of continuous communication and consultation between the leaderships of the two countries, reflecting the close ties between them and their shared commitment to continue coordination to meet the aspirations of both peoples. He added that the discussions covered current regional and international developments and key issues of mutual interest.

The talks were characterized by a friendly atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of understanding and friendship that distinguishes the good relations between the two friendly countries, in a move that embodies both sides’ desire to enhance existing cooperation across all levels.
