- Destruction and damage to more than 190 military vehicles... and control of new positions on the eastern front
The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Saturday that they carried out 1,417 targeting operations during the past 24 hours as part of Operation “Yemen’s Dawn,” resulting in the neutralization of approximately 800 Houthi militia members, killed or wounded, and the destruction and damage of more than 190 military vehicles and equipment.
Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, the official spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, said in a statement that the operations were conducted using warplanes, drones, field artillery, and rocket launchers, targeting Houthi militia concentrations, reinforcements, fortified positions, firing sources, armored vehicles, and drone launch sites.
Al-Nazili clarified that the targeting operations disrupted the militia’s movements, hindered the arrival of their reserves to the front lines, and prevented them from achieving their field objectives.
He added that army units on the eastern front continued clearing operations and expanding their control, successfully taking control of new field positions.
In Taiz Governorate, Al-Nazili reported that the Armed Forces repelled continuous waves of attacks, while warplanes launched concentrated strikes targeting militia positions and reinforcements.
He emphasized that the Armed Forces’ operations are limited to legitimate military targets, in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules, and called on residents in areas under Houthi control to protect their children from recruitment campaigns and being drawn into battles.
