The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Friday that they carried out 1,292 targeting operations during the past 24 hours as part of the “Yemen Dawn” operation, resulting in the neutralization of more than 430 Houthi militia fighters and the destruction or damage of over 100 military vehicles and equipment, alongside ground advances in Marib Governorate.
Brigadier General Majid Al-Nazili, the official spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, said in a statement that the operations targeted defensive positions, fortifications, trenches, firing positions, reserve concentrations, and transportation and supply means belonging to the Houthi militia.
He explained that the operations helped create conditions for the advance of army units on the eastern front in Marib Governorate, enabling them to take control of several sites and commanding high grounds.
He added that the Armed Forces continue to exert military pressure on Houthi positions on the southern and western fronts of the governorate, depleting their capabilities, while military engineering units continue to clear mines and explosive devices, open advance routes, and secure reclaimed areas.
Al-Nazili noted that the air force conducted strikes targeting Houthi reinforcements and combat concentrations in Taiz Governorate, and pointed out that the Armed Forces and popular resistance managed to detain several Houthi field commanders, who are being handled in accordance with established military and legal procedures.
He called on residents in areas under Houthi militia control to protect their children from recruitment campaigns and from being dragged into battles.
