Less than two weeks after assuming her duties
The US newspaper The New York Times reported on Friday that Katie Zakharia had been dismissed from her position as White House Press Secretary, just five days after she took office, citing three people familiar with the decision.
Fox News had previously reported that a White House official said Zakharia was on her way to leaving her post as spokesperson for US President Donald Trump.
This came after Trump expressed doubts about her suitability for the role, stating that she might not be well-suited to serve as White House Press Secretary.
