- Approximately 400 commercial vessels transited the strait over two weeks

- Our Gulf partners helped us ship more than 100 million barrels of oil

US Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Admiral Brad Cooper affirmed the continuation of the naval blockade imposed on Iran, noting that US forces have inflicted severe damage on Tehran’s ability to project influence beyond its borders, preventing it from exporting crude oil worth at least $25 billion to date.

Cooper stated that sustained US pressure on Iran is affecting all sectors of its economy, imposing heavy costs on the Iranian regime, particularly the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and confirmed that more than 50,000 US military personnel are currently deployed in the Middle East region.

Regarding maritime navigation, Cooper emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz is under the control of the United States and its regional partners, not Iran, noting the continued transit of commercial vessels through the strait despite Iranian attacks.

He clarified that approximately 400 commercial ships transited the Strait of Hormuz over the past seven days, while US forces assisted Gulf partners in shipping more than 100 million barrels of oil during the previous week.

He added that US forces facilitated the transport of more than 1.3 billion barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz.
