US President Donald Trump expressed doubts on Friday about the suitability of Kayleigh McEnany for the role of White House press secretary, saying he had advised her to reconsider taking the post.
According to Reuters, Trump’s remarks came days after McEnany was appointed White House press secretary, succeeding Sarah Huckabee Sanders, without clear reasons being given for his doubts about her suitability for the position.
