Saudi Arabia: Early warning system activated in Riyadh and Al-Kharj for emergency situations

Saudi Civil Defense announced on Wednesday the activation of an alert via the National Early Warning Platform for Emergency Situations in Riyadh and Al-Kharj Governorate, warning of a potential hazard.

Through its official account on the X social media platform, Saudi Civil Defense urged the public to follow safety guidelines and official instructions, remain calm, and immediately proceed to the nearest safe location inside a building or an interior room away from windows, staying there until the danger has passed. It advised against leaving homes or buildings, avoiding open areas and glass, and refraining from standing on balconies or rooftops.

The authority also called for contacting the emergency number (998) upon observing any danger, and adhering to instructions issued by relevant authorities through official channels.
