- The sacrifices of Kuwaiti sons alongside the Egyptian forces will remain etched in the nation’s memory and a source of pride for generations.

Kuwait’s Ambassador to Egypt, Ghanim Al-Ghanim, affirmed on Tuesday that the blood of Kuwaiti martyrs in the October War embodies the steadfastness of relations between the two brotherly countries, noting that it will remain a testament to shared destiny and Arab solidarity.

This statement was made by Ambassador Al-Ghanim in an interview with the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), following a visit he paid to the graves of Kuwaiti martyrs at the military cemeteries in the Suez Governorate, coinciding with the celebrations marking the 53rd anniversary of the victories of the October 1973 War.

Ambassador Al-Ghanim said, “The visit to the martyrs’ graves comes as a tribute to the sacrifices and heroism offered by Kuwaiti sons, which will remain immortal in the nation’s memory, and reflect the highest forms of pride and honor in the heroic deeds and sacrifices made by loyal Kuwaitis alongside their brothers in the Egyptian Armed Forces during battles of honor and dignity.”

He added that “the blood of the righteous martyrs, mingled with the noble soil of Egypt, is the true embodiment and solid foundation of the enduring fraternal and historical ties between the State of Kuwait and the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, which will remain a source of pride for successive generations and a model to emulate in Arab solidarity and cooperation.”

Accompanying Ambassador Al-Ghanim during the visit were the head of the military office in Egypt, Brigadier General Dhafer Al-Hajeri, and Second Secretary Dr. Khaled Al-Saloum.

Upon the arrival of the Kuwaiti diplomatic and military delegation at the military cemetery headquarters, they were received by Major General Tarek Talaba, Chief of Staff of the Third Field Army, along with several senior Egyptian military commanders.
