Ropes

We say that there are seven types of ropes: some are beneficial, and others are harmful.

The most beneficial is the umbilical cord; the most repulsive is the executioner’s noose; the most delicate is the thread of thoughts; the shortest is the rope of lies; the strongest is the cord of affection; the closest is the vein; and the most beautiful and strongest is the bond with God, which never breaks: “And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided.”

Beautiful words for those who understand them.
