The General Directorate of Traffic, represented by the Security Control Department, arrested a suspect in the Saad Al-Abdullah area for engaging in reckless and careless driving with his vehicle, causing damage to state property.
In a statement, the Traffic Directorate said the arrest followed a complaint submitted via the dedicated traffic complaints number on WhatsApp, accompanied by a video clip documenting the incident. An immediate patrol from the Security Control Department was dispatched to the scene, where the vehicle and its driver were apprehended near the location of the incident.
It added that an inspection of the site confirmed that the vehicle had caused damage to state property while its driver was engaged in reckless behavior.
The Directorate clarified that appropriate legal measures were taken against the suspect, who was referred to the Central Prison, and that the vehicle was impounded.
It urged the public to report any traffic violations by sending a video clip to the dedicated traffic complaints number, 99324092, via WhatsApp, which helps expedite the handling of violations and the apprehension of offenders.
