- The security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Gulf security... Call for unifying media efforts to expose disinformation and document violations
The Gulf Journalists Union strongly condemned the escalating terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militias against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that they have resulted in the martyrdom and injury of civilians, caused damage to public and private property, and constitute a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, posing a direct threat to regional security and peace.
In a statement, the Union said that targeting airports, service facilities, and economic installations, as well as attempts to target Makkah Al-Mukarramah and attacking an electrical facility in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah that serves the Noble Prophet’s Mosque, represent a serious escalation and a transgression of religious and human values and international norms. It affirmed that the security, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and holy sites of Saudi Arabia are an inseparable part of the shared Gulf security.
