Saudi-Egyptian-Pakistani-Turkish statement: Targeting King Khalid Airport is a blatant violation of international law and an assault on the Kingdom’s sovereignty
Full support for Saudi Arabia’s legitimate measures... and call for an immediate, unconditional halt to attacks
The Quartet countries—Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Turkey—strongly condemned the ongoing hostile attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia, including the strikes that targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which resulted in the death and injury of several civilians and caused damage to infrastructure and civilian facilities.
In a joint statement published by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Quartet affirmed that these attacks constitute a blatant violation of international law, an assault on the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, a direct threat to its security and stability and to the safety of civilians, and a serious escalation that cannot be justified or accepted under any pretext.
The Quartet reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all lawful measures and steps taken to confront these attacks, deter the sources of threat, and prevent their recurrence, in defense of the Kingdom’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and to protect its citizens and residents, in accordance with the UN Charter and international law.
The Quartet placed full responsibility for these attacks and their repercussions, which threaten regional and international peace and security, on the Houthi militia, calling for an immediate and unconditional halt to such attacks.
