The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, issued a ministerial decree amending certain provisions of Ministerial Decision No. (20/1971) regarding the imposition of new fees and the modification of fees collected for certain transactions conducted by the General Administration of Citizenship and Kuwaiti Travel Documents.
Decision No. (1769 of 2026), published in the official gazette “Kuwait Al-Yaum,” stipulated the amendment of Item (3) of Article Two of Ministerial Decision No. (20/1971), setting the fee for issuing a replacement lost Kuwaiti passport at 100 dinars.
The decree stipulated that the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior shall be responsible for its implementation, and that it shall take effect from the date of its publication in the official gazette.
