Trump announces agreement with Putin to supply millions of tons of diesel

- Expects global prices to fall at record rates and at a rapid pace

US President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he has reached an agreement with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, regarding the supply of large quantities of diesel fuel to US and global markets, following talks he described as “highly successful.”

Trump stated in a post on his platform, Truth Social, that the agreement calls for Russia to immediately begin supplying more than 300,000 tons of diesel to the US and global markets, followed by 500,000 tons in November, and then an additional million tons shortly thereafter.

He added that Russia would subsequently supply an additional 3 million tons of diesel over a short period, depending on the status of Russian refineries.

Trump predicted that diesel prices in the United States and worldwide would drop at record rates and at a rapid pace, as a result of the agreement with Russia and what he described as “complete” US control over the Strait of Hormuz.

He emphasized that lowering prices for Americans, particularly farmers, livestock ranchers, and truck drivers, is his top priority, describing the announcement as “huge and extremely important.”

He concluded his post by stressing that Iran will not possess a nuclear weapon.
