Mazagan: Morocco's Majesty Embraces the Magic of the Atlantic

It is enough to approach the Atlantic coast near the city of El Jadida for the scene to begin to change... The sea asserts its presence here, while green spaces stretch out leisurely, and the features of Moroccan architecture emerge through arches, ornaments, and gardens. There, spanning 250 hectares, Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort extends as one of the most beautiful destinations that combine multiple tourism experiences in a single location.

The journey to "Mazagan" does not begin at the hotel room door, but rather much earlier. The resort stretches along a 7-kilometer sandy beach on the Atlantic Ocean, located approximately 6 kilometers from the city of El Jadida, and about an hour’s drive from Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca.

From the very first moment, visitors do not need much time to notice the Moroccan identity present in the place: arches, ornaments, colors, and spacious areas inspired by traditional architecture, within a contemporary design that opens views to the sea, gardens, and swimming pools.

500 Rooms and the Sea Present

In "Mazagan," there are approximately 500 rooms and suites, with views varying between the ocean, gardens, and swimming pools. However, the experience does not stop at the size of the room or the level of the suite; the place itself is part of the stay. Guests can step out of their rooms in the morning toward the sea, start their day with a stroll through the gardens, or simply sit facing the ocean... This expansiveness gives the resort the character of an independent destination where one can spend days without feeling the need to leave in search of other activities.

"Golf"... and the Sea in the Background

In another part of the resort, the pace of the day changes. Here lies an 18-hole golf course designed by global game star Gary Player, extending across an open area adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean. The course measures 6,885 meters in length, and the resort presents it as the longest golf course in Morocco, with multiple tee boxes suitable for different skill levels, alongside a specialized academy for those wishing to improve their skills. However, the uniqueness of the experience is not limited to numbers; the sand dunes, green spaces, and sea breeze make the round distinct, as the Atlantic remains present in the background from the start to the end of play.

From the Table to Adventure

As lunch or dinner time approaches, another journey begins. The resort’s official website lists 15 restaurants and bars, ranging from Moroccan and Mediterranean cuisine to French, seafood, Middle Eastern, and Asian flavors.

At "Al Firma," traditional Moroccan dishes take center stage, while Sel de Mer focuses on fish and seafood.

Bushra by Buddha-Bar offers a modern interpretation of Middle Eastern cuisine.

Between one restaurant and another, the atmosphere also changes; a meal by the pool, a quieter dinner, or a table close to the beach. Thus, the dining experience becomes an integral part of the place’s offering, not merely a stop between activities.

The Beach Opens the Door to Activity

But "Mazagan" is not always quiet. For those seeking action, options begin with horse riding, cycling, and tennis, extending to go-karting, climbing, zip-lining, and Paintball, in addition to water activities that take advantage of the Atlantic coastline. In this way, visitors can start their day on the beach, move on to a sporting activity, and then return at the end of the day to a more relaxed atmosphere. As for those who prefer relaxation, they will find swimming pools, a fitness center, and a spa, along with treatments inspired by hammam and Moroccan beauty traditions.

Children Have Their Own Story Too

On family trips, children are not left out of the program. The resort has dedicated a Kidz Club for children aged 3 to 10 and a Rush Club for those aged 11 to 17, offering activities that combine play, physical activity, creativity, and adventure.

This diversity gives families more flexibility in organizing their day. While the younger ones are engaged in their programs, adults can head to the beach, play golf, or relax at the spa, before the whole family reunites later at a single table.

When evening falls

As the day ends, activity within the resort does not cease. Mazagan features a casino spanning approximately 3,000 square meters, equipped with 36 gaming tables and 390 slot machines, in addition to a VIP area and a restaurant. While claims such as “the largest in North Africa” require independent verification, the announced figures alone reveal the scale and extent of the facility.

One day... more than one story

Perhaps Mazagan’s strength lies in the ease of transitioning between multiple experiences within a single day: a morning by the ocean, followed by a round of golf, then time for the spa or horse riding, before the day ends with a Moroccan dish or seafood.

At every stop, the place maintains a unifying thread: the presence of the sea on one hand, and Moroccan identity on the other.

Here, the resort does not appear to be merely a place to stay, but a vast space where a vacation transforms into a series of scenes: a long beach, golf set against the sound of waves, diverse culinary offerings, and adventures sufficient to ensure that each day has its own unique story.

Outside Asia joins a global network

The resort has become the first golf destination outside Asia to join the Asian Tour Destinations network, a move that strengthens its presence on the global golf map and marks the first expansion of the network beyond the Asian continent.

With this achievement, Mazagan takes the thirteenth position in the network, which brings together elite global golf destinations directly linked to the Asian Tour, reflecting the growing status of the Moroccan resort in hosting international sporting competitions.

This membership follows the resort’s hosting of two consecutive professional tournaments during the summer, as part of the Asian Tour and the Asian Development Tour (ADT), further confirming its ability to attract major championships and solidifying its position as a destination combining luxury tourism with professional golf.
