- Affirmed its full solidarity with the Kingdom and its right to defend its sovereignty, territory, citizens, and residents.

- Rejected the use of Yemeni land, airspace, and coasts to threaten neighbors or international navigation.

The Yemeni government, on Tuesday, strongly condemned the Houthi militia attacks on the airports in Jazan and Najran, as well as attempts to target Makkah and assault Madinah, and threats against airlines in Saudi airspace.

In a statement received by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs said these attacks constitute an escalation that threatens the safety of civilians and civil aviation, and violates the sanctity of holy sites.

The ministry reaffirmed Yemen’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its right to defend its sovereignty, territory, citizens, and residents.

It stressed that the Houthi militia’s attacks on the Kingdom reveal their disregard for civilian lives and their use of airports and the suffering of travelers as tools for political blackmail.

The statement praised the Kingdom’s support for the Presidential Leadership Council, the Yemeni government, and the Yemeni people to end the coup and restore state institutions, considering this support a continuation of Saudi Arabia’s fraternal stance and its provision of political, humanitarian, and developmental aid.

It expressed Yemen’s appreciation for the comprehensive backing provided by the Saudi-led coalition supporting legitimacy to the Yemeni government and the armed forces, firmly rejecting the Yemeni government’s stance on the misuse of Yemeni land, airspace, and coasts to threaten neighbors or international navigation, and emphasizing that the Houthi militias do not represent the Republic of Yemen nor reflect the will of its people.

The statement welcomed the outcomes of the emergency meeting of the Political and Defense Strategic Committee of the Makkah Defense Pact, including the activation of collective deterrence and the transition to practical implementation of joint defense commitments, thereby enhancing readiness, military integration, and collective capacity to confront threats.
