Security Campaign in Farwaniya Apprehends 15 Illegal Workers and Identifies Single Male Housing
- Illegal shops and grocery stores engaged in prohibited activities; food items unfit for consumption
The Directorate of Security Affairs Sector, in coordination with the Committee for Negative Phenomena and relevant government entities, carried out an inspection campaign targeting several sites in the Farwaniya Governorate, as part of ongoing security efforts to monitor violations and negative phenomena and take legal action against offenders.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that the campaign resulted in the apprehension of 15 workers who violated Article 20 by conducting commercial activities inside a private residential home, as well as the seizure of four illegal grocery stores operating within private residential areas, and the closure of a tailoring shop engaged in unlawful commercial activity.

The ministry added that several sites were found to be used as housing for single workers, alongside the discovery of expired food items unfit for human consumption, as well as frozen meat, fish, and tobacco products.
It clarified that the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition issued reports and violations related to food items and destroyed the unfit products, while the Kuwait Municipality issued reports, warnings, and recorded violations. The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy took necessary measures to cut off electricity supply to the non-compliant sites.
Legal measures were taken against the offenders, and procedures for the deportation of illegal workers were completed in accordance with established protocols.
