Moroccan referee Jalal Guedir to officiate the 'Gulf Cup 27' final between Saudi Arabia and the UAE
The Gulf Football Federation’s refereeing committee has appointed Moroccan referee Jalal Guedir to officiate the final of the 27th Gulf Cup, known as the “Arab Home Gulf Cup,” which will feature Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates tomorrow, Tuesday, at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.
Guedir will be assisted by his compatriots Zakaria Bransi and Mustafa Akarkaz, while Kuwaiti Abdullah Jamali will serve as the fourth official, and his fellow Kuwaiti Saud Al-Shamri will act as the fifth official.
The committee appointed Moroccan Hamza El Farkh as the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), with Dutch referee Arwin Blank and Bahraini Ismail Habib serving as video assistant referees. Omani Ibrahim Al-Husseini will serve as the referee assessor.
Saudi Arabia reached the final after defeating Qatar 3-2 on penalties in the semi-finals, following a goalless draw after extra time, while the UAE team advanced by beating Oman 1-0.
