Chamber of Commerce: UK is a key strategic partner for Kuwait economically, commercially, and in investment

- British Ambassador: We hope the private sector will transform available opportunities into concrete projects

The Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry affirmed on Sunday that the United Kingdom is a key strategic partner for the State of Kuwait across various fronts, particularly in economic, commercial, and investment spheres.

In a press statement following a meeting between its Managing Director Rabah Al-Rabah and British Ambassador to Kuwait Qadsi Rashid, along with Naz Demir, Head of Business and Trade at the Embassy, the Chamber noted that the discussion covered prospects for developing economic cooperation and leveraging the opportunities and potential available to both sides.

It added that the meeting highlighted the importance of introducing business leaders in both countries to the economic and investment climate and the available opportunities, as well as encouraging the organization of joint economic events in Kuwait. These efforts aim to enhance communication between business communities and open new avenues for cooperation.

The statement conveyed Ambassador Rashid’s emphasis on the importance of developing commercial and investment relations between the two countries across various sectors, pointing out the significant potential possessed by both Kuwait and the UK that can be harnessed to expand areas of economic cooperation.

He expressed his hope that the private sector in both countries would play a pivotal role in transforming available opportunities and potential into concrete projects that contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation and pushing economic relations to broader horizons.

Ambassador Rashid also praised the continuous efforts of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry in supporting and enhancing economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries.
