Justice Minister discusses with Gulf counterparts enhancing judicial and legal cooperation and integration
The 36th meeting in Manama discusses a platform for exchanging judicial notifications and unified rules to combat information technology crimes
Justice Minister and Advisor Nasser Al-Sameet participated today, Sunday, in the proceedings of the 36th meeting of the Ministers of Justice of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held in the Bahraini capital of Manama, attended by several Ministers of Justice and officials from the GCC states.
The Ministry of Justice stated in a press release that the meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination among the GCC justice ministries, along with a number of common topics and initiatives aimed at developing the judicial and legal framework, and exchanging expertise and experiences among the member states.

The ministers discussed the initiative by the Bahraini Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs and Endowments regarding the establishment of an electronic platform for exchanging judicial notifications and announcements among the GCC states, as well as the work of the committee of directors and heads of judicial and legal training centers and institutes in the GCC countries.
The meeting also reviewed the draft unified rules for combating information technology crimes in the GCC states, alongside the report on the meetings of the committee of officials in charge of international cooperation and international relations departments at the justice ministries of the GCC states for the year 2026.
Kuwait’s participation in the meeting underscored its commitment to enhancing judicial and legal integration within the Gulf region, supporting the progress of joint Gulf efforts, and developing their mechanisms to serve the GCC states and their peoples.
The Kuwaiti delegation included Deputy Minister of Justice Awatef Al-Sand and several other ministry officials.
