Axios: US Expels Iranian Diplomats for Failing to Comply with Departure Order

Axios reported on Saturday, citing a U.S. official, that the United States expelled two members of the Iranian delegation attending the United Nations General Assembly meetings after they failed to comply with a U.S. State Department order to leave the country.

The official stated that the Iranian diplomats remained in New York after the rest of the delegation had departed, and their refusal to heed the State Department’s request to leave led to their expulsion from the United States.
