Live: Car Hits Reporter and Photographer in Mexico

A news report on the aftermath of heavy rains in the Mexican city of Monterrey turned into a live-camera incident after a vehicle lost control on a wet road and struck a reporter and a cameraman during a live broadcast.

Mexican media outlets, including the newspapers El Financiero and La Jornada, reported that reporter Alma de la Rosa Flores and cameraman Cristo Morales were covering the impact of the rains and a collapse on Morones Prieto Street in Monterrey, in the state of Nuevo León, when the accident occurred on Friday morning.

Video of the live broadcast showed the reporter speaking to the camera before a vehicle skidded on the wet road and hit her and the cameraman, causing the broadcast to cut out immediately after the collision.

Both were taken to the hospital for medical treatment, and Civil Protection reported that their condition is stable.
