The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition conducted inspection campaigns on food establishments in the Capital and Farwaniya governorates, as part of its efforts to strengthen oversight, ensure food safety, and protect consumer health.
In the Capital governorate, the Inspection Department seized a cake and confectionery preparation shop that was using unfit and expired food ingredients, as well as trading adulterated food products.
The campaign resulted in the issuance of violation reports and the destruction of 210.943 kilograms of unfit and adulterated food, with appropriate legal measures taken against the violators.
In Farwaniya governorate, the Authority, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, Kuwait Municipality, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, and the Public Authority for Manpower, conducted an inspection campaign targeting food establishments.
The campaign resulted in the inspection of 10 food establishments and the issuance of seven violation reports, as part of efforts to intensify oversight, ensure food safety, and protect public health.
