The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, represented by the Hawalli Governorate Inspectorate and in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, carried out an inspection campaign targeting several food establishments, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen food safety oversight.
In a statement, the Authority said the campaign resulted in the issuance of 28 violation reports, the destruction of 146.142 kilograms of adulterated and untraceable food products, and the closure of a kitchen at one facility.
It added that the violations included failure to comply with health and technical requirements, trading without valid licenses and approved health certificates, and the circulation of adulterated food products.
