In a statement, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned this attack as a blatant violation of the rules of international law, international humanitarian law, the UN Charter, and the Charter of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as a flagrant breach of religious values and moral norms. It described the attack as a serious escalation in the context of repeated targeting of the Two Holy Mosques and Islamic sanctuaries, and as an affront to the feelings of Muslims worldwide.

The ministry affirmed Bahrain’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its steadfast support for the measures the Kingdom takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability, and to protect its citizens and residents, based on its inherent right to self-defense guaranteed under Article 51 of the UN Charter.

It emphasized that the security and stability of Saudi Arabia are an integral part of Bahrain’s national security, noting the Kingdom’s entrenched religious status in the hearts of the Arab and Islamic worlds as the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

The Foreign Ministry renewed Bahrain’s call on the UN Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities and take a firm stance to halt the repeated Houthi terrorist attacks targeting civilian infrastructure and religious sanctuaries, which terrorize pilgrims, visitors to the Two Holy Mosques, and innocent civilians in Saudi Arabia, and to hold their perpetrators accountable.

It also called on the Council to ensure the full implementation of its relevant resolutions, foremost among them Resolution 2216 (2015) and Resolution 2817 (2026), which demand an end to support for proxies, thereby contributing to the preservation of regional and international peace and security.
