Trump: We Will Strike Iran Heavily If Its Involvement in 'Flydubai' Incident Is Proven

US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that Iran would face a severe strike if it is proven to be involved in the incident involving a Flydubai flight that was en route from Dubai to Tel Aviv before making an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia.

Trump clarified, in response to a journalist’s question about the possibility of Iran’s connection to the incident, that his administration is investigating the matter, noting that what he has heard suggests the possibility of Iranian involvement, without providing evidence to substantiate that claim.

When asked about the US response if Tehran’s involvement is confirmed, Trump stated that Iran “will be hit hard.”

Flydubai flight FZ1073 made an emergency landing at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Tabuk on Wednesday after the co-pilot attacked the pilot inside the cockpit, according to preliminary investigations conducted by Saudi authorities in collaboration with an Emirati security team.
