- Company Passes Technical Evaluation for Consulting Practice

The Central Tenders Board recently approved the results of the technical evaluation and opened the financial bids of those meeting the technical evaluation threshold for the provision of consulting services for the project to prepare and develop the educational infrastructure for the creative economy, under the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters, in accordance with the company’s procedures. The company passed the evaluation with a score of 71.20 percent. The Council requested the Board to review the evaluation results, noting that one company passed with a score of 71.20%, while another failed to pass with a score of 67.93%. The Board also decided to extend the initial bid security for all participating companies, based on Article 46 of Public Tenders Law No. 49 of 2016.

The project aims to achieve several developmental objectives, most notably transforming Kuwait into a regional hub in the field of design. This will help attract talent and innovations, while supporting creative industries by developing the design sector to play a pivotal role in enhancing other creative industries across various economic sectors.

The project also aims to rehabilitate historic buildings by preserving cultural heritage through the restoration of three existing historic structures and converting them into specialized educational centers for design.

Among its objectives is stimulating the state’s strategic transformation by contributing to the realization of Kuwait’s strategic vision for transitioning toward a diverse and knowledge-based economy through fostering innovation and creativity. Additionally, it seeks to develop advanced educational infrastructure by creating a sophisticated learning environment that helps qualify local cadres in the field of design, thereby enhancing skills, increasing employment opportunities in this sector, and opening new markets. This will be supported by strengthening cooperation among different sectors, particularly through enhanced collaboration between the public and private sectors in design and creativity to support innovation and economic and social progress.
