The Al-Jahra Governorate is linked to the northern regions, facilitating travel to Al-Abdali, the farms, and border crossings.
The Governor of Al-Jahra, Hamad Jassim Al-Habshi, along with the Acting Deputy Minister of Public Works, Kifaya Al-Najdi, and the General Manager, Engineer Khaled Dhaoui Al-Otaibi, inaugurated on Thursday the first phase of the development project for Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Road (formerly Al-Abdali Road).
The Ministry of Public Works stated in a press release that the road is one of the vital arteries connecting Al-Jahra Governorate to the northern regions, serving travel to the Al-Abdali area, the farms, and border crossings, as well as playing a key role in land travel and freight transport, thereby giving its development significant service and economic importance.
It clarified that the development works contribute to enhancing the road’s efficiency, improving traffic flow, and strengthening safety for its users, while also facilitating access to the areas it serves, keeping pace with urban expansion needs, and accommodating the growing volume of vehicles.
The ministry added that the inauguration of the first phase is the result of the efforts of the Ministry of Public Works and relevant authorities, under the continuous follow-up of the Al-Jahra Governorate Council, within the framework of coordinated cooperation to advance road and infrastructure projects and improve the level of services provided to residents and road users.
