The Acting Director of the Department, Essam Al-Ali, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that weather maps and numerical models indicate the country will be affected by an extension of a surface low-pressure system, coinciding with a low-pressure system in the upper atmospheric layers. This will lead to an increase in low and medium-level clouds, accompanied by scattered light rain showers that may occasionally be thunderstorm-related.
