Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Ahmed Al-Wahayeb held talks with Stefano Di Michele, Head of the Italian Prison Administration, on ways to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise in the management of correctional facilities and the rehabilitation and reform of inmates, during his official visit to the friendly Italian Republic.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that the meeting, held at Rebibbia Prison in Rome, covered operational mechanisms, organizational and security procedures, prominent modern systems and technologies, as well as programs and practices adopted in inmate rehabilitation and reform, and improving the efficiency of the operational system.

It added that Major General Al-Wahayeb and his accompanying delegation conducted a field tour inside the prison, during which they reviewed inmate rehabilitation and reintegration programs, operational organization mechanisms within the facility, and the role of modern technologies in supporting the operational system and enhancing readiness levels.
