'Interior': 12 suspects arrested in 8 cases, in possession of drugs, weapons, and ammunition

The General Directorate for Combating Narcotics has arrested 12 suspects in eight separate cases, during which drugs and psychoactive substances intended for trafficking and personal use were found in their possession, along with alcoholic beverages, a firearm, ammunition, and cash sums.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that the arrests resulted from the efforts of the International Combating Directorate, the Local Combating Directorate, and the Information Directorate in combating the trafficking of narcotics and psychoactive substances and apprehending those involved.

It added that the operations led to the seizure of 2,565 Lyrica capsules, 1,700 grams of hashish, 850 grams of methamphetamine, 150 milliliters of chemical liquid, 100 grams of hashish oil, and 100 psychoactive tablets.

The seized items also included 83 bottles of locally produced alcoholic beverages, 40 sheets saturated with chemical liquid, 6 grams of Lyrica powder, 6 sensitive scales, a firearm, a quantity of ammunition, and 5,790 Kuwaiti dinars from sales proceeds.

The suspects and seized items have been referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal action against them.
