The General Directorate of Traffic clarified the procedures followed to remove the clamp from a vehicle after the traffic fine has been fully settled, as part of efforts to organize and facilitate these procedures for vehicle owners.
The Directorate stated that the process begins by settling the fine through the “Sahel” program or the Ministry of Interior app. Alternatively, individuals can visit the General Directorate of Traffic to complete the payment according to approved procedures.
It added that after settling the fine, the payment receipt must be clearly placed on the vehicle’s windshield, paving the way for completing the clamp removal procedures.
It noted that thereafter, contact should be made with the General Directorate of Traffic via the dedicated WhatsApp number 99324092 to take the necessary steps and remove the clamp from the vehicle.
It emphasized that if the clamp falls, one must immediately call the emergency number 112 and wait for the arrival of a traffic patrol, without attempting to move or handle it.
The Directorate stressed that if the clamp is broken or damaged, appropriate legal action will be taken against the responsible party.
The General Directorate of Traffic called for strict adherence to traffic rules and regulations and compliance with traffic instructions, which contributes to enhancing road safety and preserving the security and well-being of road users.
