Trump Launches AI-Backed Government Website to Reduce Bureaucracy

“America.gov” aims to accelerate transaction processing and facilitate access to government services

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday the launch of an AI-powered government website designed to reduce bureaucracy and speed up searches and the processing of government transactions.

Speaking at the White House during the launch of “America.gov,” Trump said the project is more than just a website, adding, “It is a restoration of America’s founding promise and a reimagining of your government to suit the 21st century and beyond.”

He added that the administration values citizens’ time and the importance of their goals, and is striving to provide Americans with the best government service experience in the world.

Trump explained that Americans have long dealt with a massive government that makes individuals feel insignificant, noting that the new site will place the entire U.S. government “in the palm of your hand,” describing it as “one of the most revolutionary products ever.”

He pointed out that the portal aims to save citizens from an “endless maze” of agency websites and more than 10,000 government forms.

Trump linked the website’s launch to the technological race with China, reiterating his opposition to excessive federal regulatory restrictions or halting the development of advanced AI, and emphasizing the need for the United States to outpace its main competitor.

He said, “Whoever wins the superintelligence race wins everything,” warning that halting U.S. innovation or imposing strict restrictions on it would lead to losing the lead to China.

Trump affirmed that the United States currently leads China “by a wide margin” in AI development, noting his intention to keep the technology free from stringent regulatory constraints to widen that gap.
