Customs Warns Travelers: Do Not Carry Others' Luggage to Avoid Legal Liability

The General Customs Authority has urged travelers passing through customs checkpoints not to carry or transport bags or luggage belonging to other individuals, and to verify the contents of their luggage before crossing the customs checkpoint.

In an awareness post on X, the Authority emphasized that other people’s luggage may contain items whose import, export, or transport is prohibited by law, warning that carrying such items could expose travelers to legal accountability.
