Finnish President Awards Mohammed Al-Naqi First Class Knight's Order
In recognition of his contributions to strengthening his country’s ties with Kuwait
The Finnish President, Alexander Stubb, awarded Kuwaiti businessman Mohammed Ali Al-Naqeeb the First Class Knight’s Cross of the Order of the White Rose of Finland, in appreciation of his exceptional contributions and sustained efforts to enhance political and economic relations between Kuwait and Finland.
Finnish Ambassador to Qatar and Non-Resident Ambassador to Kuwait, Juha Mustonen, presented the decoration to Al-Naqeeb during a reception hosted by the latter at his residence in the Salwa area, attended by a Finnish delegation visiting Kuwait on an official invitation, alongside members of Al-Naqeeb’s family and several guests.
Al-Naqeeb expressed his deep pride in the honor, extending his gratitude to President Stubb for this gesture, and emphasized that the award serves as an incentive to continue working toward strengthening the bridges of cooperation and friendship between Kuwait and Finland, and enhancing ties between the business communities of the two countries.
For his part, Ambassador Mustonen praised Al-Naqeeb’s contributions and his commitment over the years to supporting Kuwaiti-Finnish relations, commending his efforts to develop communication and enhance cooperation opportunities between the two sides, particularly in economic and commercial fields.
The Finnish delegation included Jarno Sirjala, Under-Secretary of State for International Trade at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs; Ambassador Juha Mustonen; Jaakko Skantzi, Acting Director of the “Education in Finland” program at the Finnish National Agency for Education; Sara Stenroos, Deputy Head of Mission at the Finnish Embassy in Doha; and representatives from the embassy.
The delegation’s visit to Kuwait comes within the framework of strengthening communication between the two countries and advancing areas of joint cooperation, particularly in economic, commercial, and educational sectors.
