'Bajiyat' Leads 9 Youths to Traffic Police

Traffic police investigators referred nine young men to the Traffic Directorate after apprehending them for riding “bajis” on public roads. The vehicles were seized, and legal procedures against them were completed.

A security source stated that, as part of their ongoing campaigns to monitor violators and lawbreakers, traffic police investigators managed to apprehend nine young men riding “bajis” in areas not designated for such use within a 24-hour period. The individuals were referred to the Traffic Directorate, and their vehicles were confiscated.

The source clarified that the penalty for riding “bajis” in non-designated areas amounts to 150 Kuwaiti dinars in the case of a settlement order. If the case is referred to court, the punishment can include imprisonment for one to three years, a fine ranging from 600 to 1,000 dinars, or either of these two penalties.
