Minister of 'Social Affairs': Emergency Meeting of Investigation Committee Tomorrow Regarding Supervisory Jobs Test in Cooperatives

Today, Sunday, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, held talks with officials from the Gulf University for Science and Technology regarding observations and complaints related to the examination of candidates for supervisory positions in cooperative societies, and to review the technical and regulatory procedures associated with the test.
In a statement to the media following the meeting, Al-Huwail emphasized the importance of adhering to the highest standards of integrity, transparency, neutrality, and equal opportunity throughout all stages of the tests and related procedures.

She directed that an urgent meeting be held for the investigation committee tomorrow, Monday, to complete its work and submit its findings and recommendations, in preparation for making an appropriate decision based on its conclusions, thereby ensuring the integrity of the procedures and safeguarding the rights of all parties.
She affirmed that the Ministry attaches great importance to the “Kuwaitization” of jobs in the cooperative sector, and is working to provide suitable employment opportunities for national cadres, particularly in supervisory roles, based on objective criteria and fair standards that ensure the selection of qualified personnel and enhance the presence of Kuwaiti nationals across various positions in the cooperative sector.
Al-Huwail stressed that any decision regarding the test will be taken based on the investigation’s results and established facts, noting the Ministry’s and the Gulf University for Science and Technology’s commitment to applying regulations and bylaws, and reinforcing the principles of justice, integrity, and transparency in all related procedures.
